Cults & Mystics on the Rise in Zimbabwe
In America football is like a religion and the Superbowl is a national event gathering as much as 111 million viewers just to give you an idea of the audience and its influence. One American so called preacher thought he would impress his followers and skeptics alike by predicting the results of the game 3 days before it was played so that he could authenticate his works. He then sent out an eblast predicting the results of the game as follows
AMAZING 2014 SUPERBOWL PROPHECY GIVEN IN A DREAM – DAVID E. TAYLOR
In an email he stated “I made this announcement on Thursday (1-30-2014) during a public phone conference call, and I am now letting you know through this email the forecast of God for this Super Bowl that was revealed in a dream. I do not personally keep up with football aggressively, but I believe that because sports are so huge to people in America, that God is trying to show everyone that He forecasts the future in every arena of life. God is real, and He still speaks in dreams today!
The real result were Seattle Seahawks 43 ; Denver Broncos 8 that is the conclusion of the matter his message was fallacious.
Last year we wrote an article on Cults and Mystics which will be an introduction to this article. Africans have always been spiritual either through spirit mediums or have had supernatural experiences which led them to herbalists and witch doctors or to embrace Christianity or a mixture of both. The idea of inquiring from spiritual people has been passed from generation to generation hence the trend today is replacing the herbalist with the so called’ prophet’.
The Gospel of Money
Conventions such as these on the flier above have become commonplace throughout Zimbabwe. The one thing that is certain about these conference is a transfer of funds from the hands of the congregant into the hands of the slimy greedy Pastor. These guys are are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
One Uebert Angel a so called ‘prophet’ has been auctioning his clothes to congregants who are obsessed with obtaining what they call the anointing which they believe can be acquired when one posesses the so called prophet’s clothing.A pair of his socks has sold for $1 500; a tie $700; another shirt $4 000. In the vein of merchandising the gospel and selling indulgences and trinkets these people sell photographs of themselves to loyal fans who literally worship the ground they walk on, somehow believing that having these photographs will bring blessings. Photographs have sold for as much as $7,000 USD. Rather than adhering to the precepts of scripture they are bewitched by these mesmerizing magicians that promise money to the congregants if they give them money. The result is that people are getting poorer and the leaders wealthy beyond anyone’s imagination. These leaders teach heresies of money without any process of production that that if they shout halleluiah money will rain from heaven. One of these magicians in the name of a pastors told congregants that gold would rain upon them from heaven. The reality is that minerals are found in the ground and are mined from the ground and not from thin air as these teach their gullible non-suspecting audiences.
A portrait of Angel, United Family International Church (UFIC) leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and their spiritual father Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng of Ghana, also went under the hammer at $7 500.
This begs the question, What is it about Zimbabwe the country or the people that makes it conducive for these thieves to thrive in? Is it the introduction of foreign currency? The current political climate of corruption and greed or the disintegration of the family unit? How does a so called Pastor like Gumbura have 11 wives and then still abuse other women while still leading a congregation? What has happened to the moral fiber of the society such that the worst of behaviors are exhibited by those who claim to preach the gospel?

Zimbabwe is a tragedy whichever way one looks at it. The moral fiber has been destroyed because of greadiness. Original culture cared about community now its every getting money by any means. The so called chiefs and elders are the ones going to these crooks and endorsing them for the sake of money. All these prayer days in Zimbabwe where is the fruit. Every one wants to start a church just to get money. All these guys were poor until they went to Boatengs witchdoctor.Ghanaians will tell the whole story if boatengs bkack magic that he uses on church people.

Thank you for courage to write the truth Anna.In our Shona culture men do not kneel for other men, NEVER. EVER only women kneel to honour show respect. These men are maybe bewitched or they are used to satisfy these lying leaders sexually so they no longer care about assuming the position of the woman even publicly.

Its time for coup in church against greedy pastors. Shameless men & women. You should have mentioned this evil rapist pastor Walter Masocha in uk. He is on 3rd wife, sleeps with women in his church.molests young girls and kisses married women on the lips. In 2012 he prophesied that women in the service would grow bigger breasts in 2013. He had marriage retreat where he fondled men’s penises in the name of laying hands for healing. He got his powers from witchdoctor in Egypt where he goes often for renewal and retreats.
