Uganda: First in Entrepreneurship

Uganda has the most entrepreneurs per capita according to research conducted by UK based Approved Index.

African Countries with the Most Entrepreneurs per Capita

Uganda – about 28.1% of the population are entrepreneurs . Almost 40% of all businesses are owned by women. One of Uganda’s most successful entrepreneurs is Julian Omalla who owns the largest juice processing factory, Delight Ltd. which has 45% of the local market share.

Cameroon– 13.7% of the adult working population is self-employed in the service and food industries.

    Numbers do not lie. If we werre going by media one would think it would be South Africa or Nigeria or Kenya. Food for thought. Economies grow by small businesses not large corporations. USA/Brazil are a testimony to this fact. one of your articles said that small businesses make up more than 90% of US businesses.
